ALTAY Tank Features
The ALTAY is the first next-generation main battle tank developed entirely in Turkey. Designed to meet the demands of modern warfare, the vehicle combines superior firepower, advanced armor protection, and high mobility across diverse operational scenarios.

In the T1 version, existing systems underwent significant optimizations, while the future T2 will integrate additional innovations and technological upgrades.
Currently, the Turkish Armed Forces operate foreign-made models such as the Leopard 2A4, Leopard 1, M60TM, M60A3, and M48A5T2, manufactured in the United States and Germany. Among them, the Leopard 2A4 and M60TM are considered the most modern in service.
